“COWBOY BOOTS” IN BEST SELLING UK BOOK

Very cool!   “Cowboy Boots” was referenced in the novel “Started Early, Took My Dog” by famous British author Kate Atkinson.  From a quick google search, it looks as though the book has been climbing best seller lists all over the world, was featured in the LA & NY times and has generally caused a big stir!  I know I’ve had a number of texts and emails from surprised friends when they read my name in the pages.

This is from a Facebook friend  -

Quote from page 228 of Kate Atkinson’s “Started Early, Took My Dog”, currently very high in book sales lists in the UK. One of the main (good) characters “put Kendel Carson’s Cowboy Boots on the car stereo, a song that wasn’t as redneck as the title suggested”.

Famous in literature now!

(thanks Nick! great to know!!)

So I did some searches, and if you’re curious – check it out!  pretty fascinating stuff  XO kendel

Here is an article from The Guardian by Ashley Pharoah on reworking Kate’s novels for television.

Here’s another – with a comment from Ashley near the bottom (pasted below)

Laid A Highway – Tift Merritt
Leaving This Life – Lori McKenna
Sunday Morning Coming Down – Gretchen Wilson
